Chrome Extension

- Page HTML — the HTML content of each page you visit, used solely for technology detection
This data is sent to our API at platformchecker.com for analysis. We do not collect:
- Personally identifiable information (name, address, phone number)
- Form inputs, passwords, or authentication credentials
- Cookies or session tokens
- Browsing history beyond the current page being analyzed
- Location data
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data exclusively to:
- Detect and identify technologies and frameworks on websites
- Display results to you in the extension popup and on the website
- Cache results to improve performance and reduce redundant analysis
- Improve our technology detection accuracy
3. Data Storage and Retention
- Extension local storage: Scan results are cached locally in your browser per tab and per URL. URL caches expire after 1 hour. Tab data is cleared when the tab is closed.
- Server-side: Scan results (URL and detected technologies) are stored on our servers. Page HTML is processed for analysis and is not permanently stored.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness purposes. Scan results may be displayed publicly on platformchecker.com unless you mark them as private.
5. Your Rights
You can:
- Uninstall the Chrome extension at any time to stop all data collection
- Mark your scans as private on the website so they are not publicly visible
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us

All communication between the extension and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. We implement reasonable security measures to protect stored data.
